Discover the tranquil beauty of Derbyshire’s historic Cromford Canal on a guided canoeing tour that blends heritage, wildlife, and adventure. Paddling from the picturesque Cromford Wharf, you’ll glide through 3 miles of serene waterway, flanked by lush woodland and rich industrial history.

Led by experienced instructors, this half-day experience offers a unique perspective of the canal’s legacy—passing the Victorian-era Lea Wood Pump House, historic warehouses, and glimpses of local wildlife including kingfishers, herons, and the elusive water vole.

Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or a curious beginner, our stable open canoes (carrying up to three people) make for a relaxed and accessible journey. All safety equipment is provided, and our ethos ensures every participant feels confident and welcome on the water.

Unfortunately the youngest age is 6. But they do also need to fit into our buoyancy aids. If they are too small for this they won’t be able to access the water.
